The CQF40 is the largest concrete cutter Topall Impex supplies. It takes diamond blades from 20 in to 40 in and cuts to a maximum depth of 400 mm, which is what it takes to get through thick rigid pavement, highway slab and heavy industrial hardstanding in a single pass. Power is an engine or motor of 13, 15, 20, 25 or 30 hp from Crompton or Havells; the machine weighs 280 kg and carries a 40 L water tank.
It is a specialist machine. Highway contractors, airport and port pavement contractors and precast yards buy it because a two-pass cut with a smaller blade never lines up cleanly and doubles the time on the road.
The CQF40 is held in Delhi and supported from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Chennai, with blades and wear parts in stock.
The CQF28 tops out at a 28 in blade and 220 mm of depth. If the sections you cut are deeper than that, the CQF40 is not an upgrade, it is the only machine in the range that will do the job. If they are not, the CQF28 is cheaper to buy and far cheaper to run, because a 40 in blade costs a large multiple of a 28 in one and wears at the same rate per metre. Be honest about the thickest section you cut every month, not the thickest you have ever seen.
Depth is set by handle rotation. Full-depth cutting is slow, and the blade is doing all the work: a 40 in blade at 400 mm removes more material per metre than any other cutter on site, so water feed, blade selection for the aggregate and a steady, unforced feed rate decide the blade life. We will specify the blade bond against your aggregate; a blade sold for soft asphalt will glaze on hard granite concrete.
Nearly all CQF40 machines go out engine driven, because full-depth pavement cutting happens on open highway and airfield work with no supply. The motor version exists for tunnel lining, plant floors and other enclosed structures where exhaust is a hazard. For a 40 in blade at full depth take the 25 or 30 hp rating; 13 and 15 hp suit smaller blades and shallower work.
