The SG 120D is the heavy plate compactor for Ahmedabad contractors doing repeat base preparation rather than occasional trench work. At 50 KN centrifugal force it carries more than three times the force of the FPC90, across a wider 710 x 510 mm plate, reaching the same 300 mm depth effect in fewer passes.
At 150 kg it is a machine you position rather than carry, which is the honest trade for the output.
Plates wear from underneath. On the crushed stone and granular sub-base common to Ahmedabad and Gujarat projects, a 10 mm plate outlasts a 7 mm plate by a wide margin. On a machine running daily that is the difference between replacing a plate yearly and replacing it every few months.
