The SG 120D delivers 50 KN of centrifugal force against the FPC90 at 15 KN, more than three times the compaction energy, through a larger 710 x 510 mm plate. Where the FPC90 is a general site machine, this is the one to specify when the fill is heavier, the layer is denser, or the specification calls for a compaction result that a light plate will not reach.
Plate thickness goes up to 10 mm to take the extra work, and operating weight is 150 kg. Depth effect stays at 300 mm. Like the FPC90 it can be supplied engine driven or motor driven.

The SG 120D carries 50 KN against the FPC90's 15 KN — more than three times the force — across a wider 710 x 510 mm plate. Both are rated to 300 mm depth effect, but the SG 120D reaches that density in fewer passes and covers far more ground per hour.
The trade is weight. At 150 kg this is not a machine two people casually lift into a trench. Buy it for paver bases, sub-base preparation and repeat compaction work; buy the FPC90 if the machine mostly has to be carried to the work.
The 10 mm base plate is the specification worth paying attention to. Plates wear from underneath, and on crushed stone and granular sub-base a 10 mm plate outlasts a 7 mm plate by a wide margin. On a machine that runs every day, that is the difference between an annual consumable and a monthly one.
Available engine driven or motor driven at 5 HP. Electric drive is quieter, cheaper to run and the only sensible option for enclosed work such as basement slabs and warehouse floors.
