On a construction site an industrial vacuum cleaner does one job above everything else: it takes the dust off a concrete grinder at the point where it is made, before it reaches the air, the operator's lungs and every surface in the building. It also clears loose dust between grinding passes, so the next pass cuts the floor instead of riding on a layer of fines.
Topall Impex supplies two heavy duty models from High Tech Grinding, for whom we are the exclusive India partner. Both take a 220 V or 110 V supply, so they run from an ordinary site socket or a 110 V site transformer, and both are sold alongside our XINGYI grinding and polishing machines.
The range
- HTG IVC-F65L — 2.2 Kw / 3 Hp motor, 350 m³/h air suction, 50 mm hose, 68 kg. The compact unit for walk-behind grinders, edge work and smaller rooms.
- HTG IVC-33L — 3.3 Kw / 4.5 Hp motor, 537 m³/h air suction, 50, 63 or 80 mm hose, 105 kg. The one to put behind a large or self-propelled grinder.
Which one
Match the vacuum to the grinder, not to the size of the room. A vacuum that cannot keep up lets dust escape round the shroud however big or small the floor is. As a working rule, the IVC-F65L suits the 550-3V and 580-2 class of grinder and hand tools; the IVC-33L, with about half as much airflow again and three hose sizes, suits the GX65, GX688-4A, 800LE and 955LE. If you run one of each class, buy one of each vacuum.
What an industrial vacuum cleaner costs
Price on request, usually quoted the same working day. What moves the price is motor power and airflow, the hose sizes you need, and whether you buy the vacuum on its own or as part of a grinding package with a machine and tooling.
Industrial vacuum or built-in extraction
Our GT330 and GT460 polishing machines carry their own vacuum motors, 750 W and 1.8 Kw, and in small rooms that is enough. The larger grinders do not, and a workshop vacuum put behind a 15 kW grinder clogs within the first pass. A dedicated industrial unit is built for continuous fine concrete dust, not occasional debris.
Power and supply
Most of our grinders need a 380 V three phase supply; both vacuums take 220 V or 110 V. That split helps on site: the vacuum runs from its own single-phase point and leaves the three-phase supply to the grinder.
