The GQ50 — printed as GQ50E in the current catalogue — is the heavier of our two imported bar cutting machines. Its cutting range is 32 mm TMT bar, the same as the GQ40H, but it carries a 4 kW motor instead of 3 kW and weighs 480 kg against 365 kg, on a 1420 × 520 × 830 mm frame. Each cut takes about 2 seconds at a motor speed of 2880 rpm.
It is bought by central bar yards and large-project contractors who cut full-size 25 and 32 mm bar all day rather than occasionally. The extra kilowatt keeps the flywheel up to speed between back-to-back cuts on high-strength bar, and the extra 115 kg keeps the machine planted when it is shearing the top of its range hour after hour. On a site cutting mostly 12 to 20 mm the difference will not be noticed; on a yard feeding several sites it is.

From the GQ50's side, the question is duty, not capacity — both machines cut up to 32 mm. The GQ40H does it on 3 kW at 365 kg and costs less; the GQ50 does it on 4 kW at 480 kg. If the machine will run a full shift on large bar, feed a central yard or work off a generator on an infrastructure site, buy the GQ50. If it cuts a building schedule for one site, the GQ40H covers the work and is easier to shift.
The Indian-made TCM-42 is the third 32 mm option, at 35 cuts a minute on a 5 HP motor with a cast body. Nothing in our cutting range is rated above 32 mm.
Shearing 32 mm high-strength TMT bar in one stroke is where a cutter earns its weight. The flywheel stores the energy, the crank delivers it, and the 480 kg body is what stops the machine jumping on every cut. Feed one bar at a time at the rated size, keep it square to the blade and let the stroke finish before pulling the offcut.
The 4 kW motor runs at 2880 rpm on a 415 V three-phase supply. Because the flywheel does the work, the motor load is steady rather than peaky, which suits generator-fed sites.
Delivery, commissioning at site and handover to your operator. Blades, belts and contactors are held in Delhi rather than ordered against a container.
