The GT4-12 decoiling machine is supplied to yards in Chennai that run coil steel of 6 to 10 mm into an automatic stirrup bender or a straightening machine. Paying out at 30 to 40 metres a minute on a 7.5 kW motor, it keeps the coil under control and the line fed at its rated speed — the difference between a GTD4-10S making 2,000 stirrups an hour in Tamil Nadu and one waiting on a tangled coil.
Yards handling 4 mm wire or feeding a GTD5-12D on 12 mm single wire should take the GT4-14, which covers 4 to 12 mm.
