The FVR 650D double drum vibrating roller is supplied to Mumbai contractors who lay and patch asphalt on footpaths, driveways and municipal roads. Two 426 × 650 mm vibrating drums at 25 kN on a 530 kg hydraulic drive machine leave the mat flat in both directions, which is what surfacing work in Mumbai and across Maharashtra is judged on.
The 6 HP engine has electric start, the water tank holds 35 litres, and the 1070 mm package turns where a longer roller has to shunt.
For soil, granular base and trench lines in Mumbai the FVR 600 at 30 kN and 10 HP puts more force through the same class of double drum, and the 280 kg single-drum FVR 600S covers light path work.
