The GT4-14 is the wider-range decoiling machine in our line, handling 4 to 12 mm rebar coil and paying it out at 30 to 50 metres a minute on a 9 kW motor. It weighs 500 kg — twice the GT4-12 — and takes 20 to 25 kg of oil. It covers everything the GT4-12 does and adds 4 mm wire at the bottom and 12 mm bar at the top, which is exactly the spread a GTD5-12D automatic stirrup bender runs — 4 to 12 mm single wire and 4 to 10 mm double.
It is bought with the GTD5-12D, by yards that also feed a GX6-14 or GX8-25 straightener from coil, and by precast plants that use 4 mm wire for mesh and ties. A decoiler that stops at 10 mm leaves the 12 mm capacity of the bender unused; the GT4-14 does not.

The GT4-14 covers 4 to 12 mm at 30 to 50 m/min on 9 kW at 500 kg; the GT4-12 covers 6 to 10 mm at 30 to 40 m/min on 7.5 kW at 245 kg. From the GT4-14's side, buy it if your line runs 12 mm bar or 4 mm wire, if the bender pulls faster than 40 m/min, or if you want one decoiler that will not need replacing when the bender is upgraded. If your stirrups are all 6, 8 and 10 mm and will stay that way, the GT4-12 does the same job for less.
Both decoilers exist for the same reason: an automatic bender bends only as fast as it is fed, and a coil on the floor feeds nothing reliably.
At 4 mm the wire is light and springs easily, so the controlled payout matters most at the small end. At 12 mm the coil is heavy and stiff and the 500 kg machine has to hold it without letting it overrun the line. The 30 to 50 m/min range covers a straightener drawing steadily and a CNC bender pulling in bursts. Secure the coil tail before releasing it and feed the lead end into the machine first.
Position in line with the machine it feeds, with room for the bar to settle before the infeed rollers. The 9 kW motor runs on the same three-phase supply as the bender, and the 20 to 25 kg oil fill is checked at commissioning.
